Are you an NHS or Private Practice?
We are both an NHS and a Private Practice.
How do I register with your Practice?
Either drop in or phone our Practice and explain you are a new patient and would like to be registered. You will also have to inform whether you want to go Private or NHS. If you would prefer to go NHS, we would book you an appointment depending on whether or not we are taking on new NHS patients at that time. If you choose to go privately, we can book you an appointment straight away. You will then have a medical history form to fill out either that day if you drop in, or on your appointment day if you have phoned us.
How do I make an appointment?
Phone or drop into the Practice and reception can do this for you.
What happens if I am having a dental emergency?
If you are registered with our practice:
If you phone us before 12pm we will give you an appointment on the same day, ideally with your own dentist but if that is not possible we will book you in with another available dentist. If you phone after 12pm, we aim to see you the next working day.
If you are not registered with our practice:
We are still happy to see you to try and solve your problem. We do have NHS emergency appointments daily.
What if I can't make it to my appointment?
If you are not going to be able to attend your appointment, we ask for at least 24 hours notice of cancellations. If you do not give us sufficient notice it is Practice Policy to charge at a rate of £60 per hour if we cannot find someone to fill your appointment space. This is to cover surgery costs.
Where can I park?
As our High Street and Maygate practices are located in the centre of Dunfermline Town, there are a variety of car parks nearby. The nearest to us would be St Margarets Street, Bruce Street and Glen Bridge Car Parks. Our Rosyth Practice has free parking directly infront of it.
